October Days Are Over - What a month!!!

October was super duper filled with activities and fun times.

We collected our last harvest of the season. Having a garden was wonderful, and I look forward to doing it again next year.

I, of course, did the girls' hair a few times.

Ryan was working late one evening so I took the kids to an Italian soda shop called Rita's. They all got blue tongues from their drinks!

Well, Dallin's wasn't blue, but his tongue was sure cute.

Fake phone play time. Love moments like this!!

I made homemade cinnamon rolls during conference weekend. They were deee-lish!

The love and cuddles are never ending around here. I hope it lasts!

We went to a pumpkin patch with Camille, Emma, and Holly. It was a wonderfully warm day, and the next day it snowed. The kids had a blast!

Dallin has this thing with being against holding still for a picture.

This pig was so big and so stinky!

A patch of pumpkins.

"Mommy!! *whine* It's so bright!"
"I know. Just do your best."

Of course there was a hay bale ride. Dallin was loving the tractor.

My friend Julie and I made this fall craft one afternoon. We had to be quick about it because there were 6 kids running around. I love how it turned out!

It snowed! It's the first snow that they got to play in this year.

I went to my grandma's house for five days to learn how to make chocolates. She has made them for 50 years, and I wanted to learn the craft. Someday when she decides to no longer do it she is going to give me her equipment so I can carry on the tradition. It was a really fun, busy five days. I'm so glad I was able to go, and hope to do it again in a couple of years. Shout out to Ryan and Cindy for holding down the fort and taking care of the kids while I was gone!!

First I learned how to do roca.

My grandma, the expert chocolatier.

Meanwhile, back at home Ryan and the girls went to Elitch Gardens one last time for the season.

Then I learned how to prepare, roll, and flavor fondant.

Mints! I was the professional sprinkler.

A new creation! Vanilla cremes dipped in crushed gingersnap cookies.

I tried dipping one day. I am not an expert yet, but I will learn!

On Tuesday of my visit I went down to Springville to visit Ben and Sarah for a few hours. They are just always so cute it makes me sick. =P ;)

We had a nice visit and I look forward to seeing them again in a couple months!

All of the leaves fell off of our big maple. The kids had a blast playing in them for a while. I had the opposite of a blast cleaning up all of the crushed leaves in their hair and stuck in their clothes and shoes. Thank goodness for our roomba that took care of everything on the floor!

We spent some time at the park one late afternoon.

We took a nice Sunday walk at North Shields Ponds with Cindy.

And that is all she wrote for October!

Oh, and the secret to Dallin's adorable face in the pumpkin patch cutout thing is an auntie back there helping to hold him up ;)
