We drove out on Wednesday the 20th. The kids did really well in the car. I sat in the back next to Dallin so I could help out when they needed activities or snacks. The drive took us about 9 hours, including spending an hour in Park City for dinner so we could all stretch our legs for a bit.
Tablets for the win.
We stayed in the Hilton Embassy Suites with the Brownings. It was a nice hotel and it was really fun to play games with Brendon and Crystal after the kids went to bed each night.
On Thursday we went to a park so the kids could burn some energy. Hotels are great and all but the rooms don't have much run around space.
Friday, the 22nd, was the big day! The kids had fun playing outside of the temple while we attended the sealing. Garrett and Holly were the designated kid watchers.
Parents were reunited with children after the sealing, and we patiently waited for the newlyweds to come out.
Here they are! They were so happy!
And now for something completely different. A man in a suit on a weird little bike.
Back to the matter at hand.
We enjoyed a luncheon for them that afternoon. It was yummy food and a nice time to visit with family.
The cake at the reception was so pretty (and delicious!). I forgot to feed my kids dinner before we went to the reception so we all had rice krispies, brownies, and cakes for dinner. Super healthy.
Here are some cute photos from the reception.
Back at the hotel the next morning, Dallin was enjoying being warm after his shower.
We met up with my Grandpa Wes and Grandma Ruth for lunch at a park. We haven't seen them since our own wedding nearly 8 years ago. It was lovely to see them and know that my kids had a chance to meet their great grandparents.
That evening we attended a family reunion. Luckily my cousin Chase and his wife Ashley came with their son Colton. Chase was my best cousin growing up, and I loved seeing Maya and Colton hit it off. They are just 3 months apart in age.
And finally - some pictures provided by other family members in no particular order.
Congratulations Ben and Sarah! You put on a great wedding!
