Brianna turned 3 years old on July 18th. She is such a sweet girl! Brianna can count to twenty (or close to it most times), speaks very well, loves to sing and dance, is kind to everyone around her, loves going to nursery at church, is an adventurous eater, wants to be a big girl like her sister, is swimming like a fish, and she is very excited to start preschool this fall.
We started her birthday celebrations off by opening presents on the morning of her birthday.
She likes to pretend that anything and everything can be a snake. She loved the pack of snakes she got!
After presents, Daddy made a nice pancake and bacon breakfast for us, and then we went to the pool. Brianna has really made progress on her swimming this summer. I was so glad that going almost everyday paid off in that way!
Dallin and I enjoyed sitting in the shade of an umbrella while Daddy and the girls did their thing in the pool.
For dinner that evening we went to Grimaldi's Pizza. Aunt Holly was able to join us!
She had a very specific request for her birthday cake. We have a book called Little Red Hot about a girl who loves to eat really spicy things. On this girl's birthday cake she had jalapeno peppers instead of candles. Brianna started asking for that on her birthday cake, so we got some plastic ones to adorn her ice cream cake. I was planning to make her a cake, but when I asked her what flavor she wanted, she said, "Ice cream!" Fine by me! Made my life a little easier after just having had Dallin.
Our friends, the Cooks, joined us for the birthday dessert.
A couple of days after her birthday we went to The Butterfly Pavilion. It was so fun to see them explore and enjoy seeing the different bugs!
Both of them were brave enough to hold Rosie the tarantula! Maya was cute and squealed.
