September was full of lots of fun things! We started the month off with school. Maya started second grade and Brianna is in first grade. The school year started off virtually for them. It was weird but we have adjusted really well actually.
Lydia spent the morning looking at books while her siblings were in school. She's doing her own sort of learning I suppose.
We went to the park with some friends one afternoon. We love playing at the park and the warm weather has stretched on longer this year . We are enjoying it for as long as we can!
We have been friends with them for about 4 years. It's fun to watch the kids grow and change together. We will miss them so much when they leave next spring after Austin graduates from vet school.
Our basement window wells have become homes for some very large spiders. It's like we live in a horror movie!
We went to the pool one last time. We had a great summer there this year . Everybody loves to swim and spend time in the hot sun.
Lydia and Maya are special buddies. Maya is big enough to carry Lydia around and sometimes Lydia just wants to snuggle with her. Such sweet sisters.
A fire started at the beginning of August and has been burning ever since. One day in particular it grew 60,000 acres and it filled our sky with orange and black clouds. The sun was blocked out and it was 60° outside (even though the high was 93) and so dark in our home. The ash was literally falling out of the sky. It was such a strange day.
And then the next day it snowed! This was two days after we had gone to the pool. Colorado is so silly sometimes!
another freaky spider. This one was two and a half to three inches in leg span and just really disgusting.
We moved Maya and Brianna into the basement. We set up the bunk bed for them. It's so fun to be utilizing the basement that Ryan worked so hard on!
Sleepy boy.
Another fun evening at the park!
We went on a bike ride with our good friends, the Searles. We rode from our house all the way to old Town to get burgers for dinner. We left a little later than we should have and ended up riding back home in the dark. All in all it was about 16 mi round trip. Definitely the longest we have done as a family! We had a great time, even though I learned I really need to work my leg muscles more.
Lydia had a cute little ponytail!
Dallin and I spent the afternoon with my mom, Holly, and Aunt Wendy. We went to lunch and then looked at the flowers by CSU. They sure have some pretty ones over there! Dallin was a really great tag along for the day.
Lydia turned 18 months old! We love her and everything she is so very much.
I got to do some hair! That really very seldomly happens anymore.
Sleepy boy again. Why is it that they always look so peaceful?
We spent the last weekend in September in Colorado springs with the Brownings. On Saturday we went on a hike to enjoy the Fall colors and get some exercise. It's always so fun to go visit them!
Brianna got to go back to in-person school! She has been loving it, despite having to wear a mask all day. I think it's going to end up being a really positive experience.
